To all SI Alarms Stakeholders,

The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to advance and we are watching the situation closely. SI Alarms is making the health and safety of all customers our number one priority. It is vitally important that we do our part to limit the potential spread of the virus and we will be taking the necessary precautions to protect our staff and customers from harm’s way. We plan on continuing to serve our customers and will be implementing best practices in prevention as well as limiting everyone to potential exposure by following our own protocols and ones set out by the Province of Manitoba:

• Implementing increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols at our office and job sites.
• Implementing good hygiene practices as outlined by Manitoba health
• Anyone feeling ill, or showing any symptoms are to follow public health advice related to self-monitoring and self-isolation. If they have travelled or have been exposed to someone ill with the virus to self-isolate for 14 days.
• Minimizing prolonged (more than 10 minutes), close (less than two meters/ six feet) contact between other individuals in public,
• Avoiding greetings that involve touching such as handshakes,
• Avoiding travel, crowded places and events.
• Discontinuing non-essential work-related travel outside of Manitoba, and
• Encouraging virtual meetings to reduce prolonged, close contact between individuals.
• Cancellation of non-essential meetings within and outside of our office.
• Focus on over the phone meetings as well as virtual meetings

Our technical staff will be monitored closely; they will continue to work as most sites they are working alone or in small groups (typically not more than two) without breaching the minimum recommended distances from one another. It is important to maintain our distances from each other. A good portion of our work is in the life safety business and we want to ensure we can still maintain essential systems & services.

We will be following the guidance of major public health organizations, including Public Health Agency of Canada, local health authorities, and the World Health Organization, and will continue to do so as the situation unfolds. We’re committed to do our part to ensure the safety of our stakeholders & employees during this challenging time.
